Oh wow, what can I say about this one? This book absolutely changed my life. Let’s be real here. Uncle Ted is a bit of a loon. However I can sympathize with his arguments most of the time. The Industrial Revolution has brough quite a few major injustices about in the world, many of which would have never came about had there not been such a large boom of technological growth at the turn of the century. Regardless, that’s not the primary reason for why I enjoyed this book as much as I did. To me, the thing that grabbed my attention the most was the section about what Ted refers to as “Surrogate activities” and “The Power Process”. Which can be read about in some amount of detail at this link. Moral of the story: be sceptical of those whom hold power over you, and don’t send explosives in the mail.
